A
posting on Facebook:
Life
is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the
smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest
potential, and fight for your dreams.” ― Ashley Smith
To
which I responded:
Yestereve, I
watched a travel programme on Guatemala. It was full of women with tribes of
small children, all starving after clearing the forests to grow crops and, in
the process, contributing to climate change. The men had left to seek work
elsewhere and thus feed their families, I guess.
The only way the world can break this
seemingly endless cycle of self-inflicted misery is to sterilize the teeming
masses who breed. Yet, I see a never-ending stream of adverts for money to help
these poor sufferers, donkeys, snow leopards and the like. Is that the right
way to deal with the end of the World as we have known it? How can we live life
to the full and inflate our bellies knowing what is going on in that country
and others like nearby Brasil?
I believe in reincarnation, some definitive
examples of which involve moving between countries like the USA and India. I
can easily anticipate where some of us will end up, hopefully, you rather than
me unless you start getting some philosophy and sense of relative proportion in
your soul and body!
